Welcome to the Caminitos
Spanish Playschool
The Caminitos Spanish Playschool is a
non-profit Spanish-English bilingual playschool for children who are
3 to 5 years of age and potty trained. We are a play-based
program designed to meet two objectives:
(1) To provide support to
Spanish speaking families who are attempting to raise their children
to be proficient in both the Spanish and English language;
and
(2) To introduce Spanish as a
second language to children from non-Hispanic backgrounds.
Spanish is the second most popular
language in the world, therefore, due to the rising interest in the
Spanish language, we expect continuing growth with non-Spanish
speaking families.
No previous knowledge of Spanish is
required. All children, regardless of their Spanish language
skills are welcomed to attend. Our playschool offers the
experience of a qualified bilingual teacher specializing in early
childhood education where children will learn Spanish through play
and instructional interaction.
Since 2000, Caminitos Spanish
Playschool has been in operation at the Escuela Mill Creek School (also known as
the International Spanish Academy). We like to consider
ourselves as the first step in benefiting your
child with Spanish as a second language because your children can
continue their education by attending the Spanish
kindergarten and elementary programs offered at the Escuela Mill
Creek School.
